Interpreters, translators sought

The Casper College Adult Basic Education (ABE)/GED Center currently is seeking foreign language interpreters and translators.

“If you are proficient at speaking, reading and/or writing a foreign language and would be willing to have your name and contact information listed on a confidential list to be used when a special occasion arises that calls for interpreting or translating a language, we would like to hear from you,” said Lisa Mixer, ABE/GED co-director and tutor coordinator.

“This list is not only for the ABE/GED Center, but agencies throughout the area including the Natrona County School District, various court systems, hospitals, and others we frequently receive requests from for translators and/or interpreters,” Mixer said.

Those interested in providing interpretation or translation on an “as needed basis” should call Mixer at 268-2453 to provide their name, language they speak, read and/or write, and whether the language is a native language or whether it was learned as a foreign language.
