Thanks for the support

Editor:

I would like to thank everyone who worked so hard to put my benefit together, especially Andrea Whisler, Kay Heller, Mary Joyce Lucid, Pat Grace and Angie Smart. There were many more that I can’t even name.

All of the Casper businesses that donated items for the silent auction, the people who decorated and cleaned up. All of the people who came out to show their support, friends and family, a lot of them, and a lot of people I didn’t even know.

Like I said before, it really continues to amaze me the kindness that people have shown has restored my faith in people.

An example of kindness was the employees of the Casper Star-Tribune. They have a weekly fund-raiser where they pay to wear jeans to work on Fridays. All of the money they collected on a Friday was donated to my cause.

There are so many individuals that sent me what they could. Whole families that sat down and voted to send what they could and what cause they would send it to.

Me, wow! Another truly selfless act that I have seen time and again are the anonymous donations I have received. To all you people, you know who your are and even if I can’t write you a personal note, I hope you see this and realize how grateful I am.

Another kind person helped pay my rent and others donated to the jar for me at MC Market. Thank you to everyone from the bottom of my heart.

Wyoma Groenenberg who got my story out there through the Casper Journal did a wonderful job. I also want to thank Corey Rose from K2 who did the story on my benefit.

We do have a tax-deductible fund set up through First Interstate Bank. A lot of other banks are supporting the cause, as well.

It is called Marcy’s Hope Fund n EIN #32-0257160. Thank you to all of these people and establishments. God’s blessings to all.

Marcy Shurter and her three sons

Casper
