And all she wanted was a hug?

It was a Friday evening, and two friends and were at the Metro Coffee place, enjoying a show from local bands, like, CherryVail, The Rip and Summers Past.

When I came there, I noticed one of my friends leaning against a wall looking at the lead singer from one of the bands. She didn’t even notice me, until I had said something to her!

Finally, after the bands show was over, she whispered to me, “I couldn’t stop staring at him!”

More chatter and coffee sips later, my friend still couldn’t stop talking about that band’s lead singer.

“He’s so cute ... I think he was looking back at me too!”

I had to say it:

“Well, go ask for a hug!”

“No WAY!”

“Come on.. You’ll regret it if you don’t!”

Minutes after the whole show was over, my other friend and I were getting some progress with my other friend and “the hug.”

Eventually, our other friend had to leave. So it was up to me to get her a hug from the singer.

Spontaneously, and out of nature for my fellow friend, she marched right up to the singer and plainly asked for a hug.

“She’s been wanting one all night” I added.

“All night? Just for a hug?” he asked back.

“Yup! Now I get a hug.”

I hugged him, but I almost knocked over the box he was holding too …
