Rambling Again

Haunted house

by Katy Masterson

So this weekend, my family and I set up for our haunted house, to go along with our Halloween party that’s coming up.

It took about three hours to set up the whole thing in our basement. For walls, we used cheap garbage bags. And in the haunted house, we used about every creepy, scary, dead thing that we could find, from bugs coming off from the ceiling (heads too), cobwebs and scary music to the traditional people jumping out at you.

Overall, it was going great! The whole family was getting quality time together.

But the following morning, tragedy struck. The outer walls of the haunted house fell down overnight! Black trash bags outlined the whole thing, and cobwebs were barely hanging on to the walls they were connected to.

After pulling together the family, we strung up the trash bags to where they originally were at.

I wasn’t there for a lot of this, so I decided to come see the house after it was all put up again.

It looked even better than before! More areas to scare people at, more bugs, skeletons and dead-ness! I cannot WAIT to jump out at people this weekend!

Weird thing to look forward to eh?

Well, you just had to be there.

Happy early Halloween!
