Want to keep abreast of the latest updates to Social Security’s Web site -- www.socialsecurity.gov — including important news and changes?
You can sign up to get Social Security email alerts sent right to your inbox any time there is a change to a Web page you’ve expressed an interest in.
Social Security’s e-mail alerts are free, fast and effective — and signing up is easy.
Social Security’s Web site, www.socialsecurity.gov, offers a wide variety of Web pages with specific subject matters you can subscribe to, including news, newsletters, policies, benefit information, bulletins and more.
The subscription service enables you to choose which pages you would like to receive updates from and how you’d like the emails to come (immediately, daily, weekly or monthly).
You can select whether the emails go to your PC, laptop, or wireless device. You can unsubscribe to any or all subscriptions at any time. The system is secure and safe, only requiring the input of an email address with the option to create password protection for your user profile.
To get e-mail alerts sent to you, simply go to our Web site, www.socialsecurity.gov and click on the mail icon that says “Receive updates by e-mail” in the upper right hand corner. You can learn more about this service by visiting www.socialsecurity.gov/govdelivery/.
Another suggestion -n check out the Frequently Asked Questions on our homepage, where you may also elect to receive email alerts when answers to particular questions are updated.
By tailoring SSA e-mail the way you want it, you reduce unwanted material while keeping up to date with Social Security information that is important to you. To learn more about Social Security, visit our Web site at www.socialsecurity.gov, or call us at 1-800-772-1213 (TTY 1-800-325-0778).
