Census Day: Expect to see forms this week Census Day, April 1, is just three weeks away. For almost everyone, that means a census form will show up in your mailbox or hanging on the door knob at your front door next week. If you take the 10 minutes it takes to answer the 10 questions on the form, and put it back in the mail, you’ll have done your part. Poison Prevention Week observed March 14-20 The local Poison Center has partnered with parents, health care professionals, law enforcement, hospitals, community organizations, child care advocates, emergency medical services, and public health departments to make life safer. ‘Walk and Talk’ set for Audubon Center An after work “Walk and Talk” will be held Monday, March 15 at the Audubon Center at Garden Creek, 101 Garden Creek Road in Casper. Daffodil Days bouquet deliveries beginning March 15 Thousands of daffodils will be gracing desks and tables in Casper starting in mid-March as the American Cancer Society’s Daffodil Days gets underway. Delivery of orders for more than 3,000 bouquets will start Monday, March 15, and continue through the week until all deliveries are complete. NCHS Math Team wins state contest Natrona County High School’s Math Team won the A Division of the Casper College section of the Wolsborn-Drazovich Wyoming State Math Contest on Feb. 23. Municipal Golf Course open for temporary play The Casper Municipal Golf Course (Casper Golf Club) had limited opening Monday, March 1, with temporary green play and practice on the driving range. Temporary greens fees will be $5/person, and normal golf cart rental fees will be $16 for nine holes and $28 for 18 holes. Casper Martial Arts Academy event raises funds for St. Jude Casper Martial Arts Academy students and instructors participated in a Kick-Punch-Spar-athon on Feb. 20 that raised $1,793 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The event has been held for the last seven years. Home heating help program application deadline March 31 The deadline for applying for a home heating help program has been extended for this season only, according to the Wyoming Department of Family Services.
