Gayle Irwin is a local author with an upcoming new book with a unique angle: viewing one's faith walk with God through the experiences of living with a blind dog. The book, "Walking in Trust: Lessons Learned with My Blind Dog", is a 30-chapter devotional-style book that looks at a variety of positive life lessons, including joy despite adversity, courage in spite of great obstacles, and friendship through the storms of life. Additionally, two of Irwin's short stories are appearing in a September and an October release of two different "Chicken Soup for the Soul" books. Irwin'sy first book signing in Casper for these releases takes place on Saturday, Oct. 6, at Wind City Books downtown.
